Job description

URGENT - LOCAL CDL A DRIVER
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
  • Determine the condition of the vehicle by inspecting it before and after use; log inspections; report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain safe vehicle conditions and protect the load by complying with company policies and procedures, as well as traffic laws and regulations.
  • Make deliveries by driving the truck to specific customers and unloading the product manually or using a hand truck or dolly.
  • Provide customer service by listening to and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Be responsible for some paperwork; invoices must be signed at the time of delivery.
  • Collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with the receipts and delivery invoice.
  • Return rejected or unsold merchandise by making the appropriate pick-ups from customers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year driving experience within a 150-mile radius from the store.
  • Ability to manage time and routes to ensure efficient deliveries.
  • Physical strength to lift up to 90 pounds, including tasks that require bending and twisting.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Open and transparent communication.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices or mapping apps.
  • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).
Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for extended periods, regularly lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks with few breaks.
