As they continue expanding into new markets, they are seeking customer-focused Route Sales Drivers to serve as the face of the organization while delivering exceptional service to commercial accounts.

Position Summary

The Route Sales Driver is responsible for safely delivering products to established customer accounts while providing exceptional customer service, merchandising products, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting continued account growth. This role combines delivery, customer relationship management, inventory control, and light sales responsibilities within an assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company delivery vehicle while servicing an established route.
  • Deliver, unload, and stock products at customer locations using hand trucks and two wheel dollies.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and serve as their primary day to day service contact.
  • Merchandise products to ensure displays remain clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, rotate product, remove outdated inventory, and recommend replenishment.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product usage and generate additional sales within existing accounts.
  • Complete delivery documentation, inventory records, and customer communications accurately.
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all safety policies, driving regulations, and workplace standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of commercial delivery, route sales, route service, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles, cargo vans, or box trucks preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Self motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach overhead, climb step stools or ladders, and work in a physically active environment throughout the day.
  • Ability to safely load and unload products while maintaining proper lifting techniques.
  • Visual ability sufficient to read labels, complete documentation, and safely operate delivery equipment.
