** Hybrid work model, predominantly remote with 10% on-site in Phoenix, AZ. Candidate must currently reside in Arizona โ€“ no relocation allowed. Candidate must attend an in-person interview. Candidate must provide AZ Driverโ€™s License as proof of residency. Candidate must work AZ time zone business hours. All work must be completed in the United States. **

Our direct client has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst # 8367. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked in a hybrid schedule on-site in Phoenix, AZ 10% โ€“ however mostly remote. All work must be completed in the United States.

Description:

The Quality Assurance Analyst, Information Technology, is responsible for analyzing requirements to develop test plans, create test cases, and document application defects for internally developed software for both .Net and Oracle applications that are used by both ADOR business units and taxpayers for intermediate, medium-scale projects.

Supervision:

This position does not have direct reports.

Essential Functions:

Quality Assurance Testing

  • Creates test plans based on requirements documentation to ensure traceability and completeness of test coverage for basic to intermediate, medium-scale projects
  • Designs detailed test cases for new applications or updates to existing applications
  • Plans and performs testing by creating test data schedules in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
  • Defines regression test plans and test cases for future projects
  • Performs retests and rework, as necessary
  • Documents test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards

Support

  • Documents results of identified application defects or usability issues
  • Identifies process improvement needs and assists management on implementing changes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Develops Quality Assurance documentation on processes and standards to be used by the QA team and shares knowledge with team members including cross training
  • Adheres to Project Management Lifecycle and TFS standards and other IT and/or QA team processes

  • Participates in requirements gathering and technical analysis to ensure completeness of documentation needed to accurately perform testing
  • Works with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements

Education & Experience

  • Any combination that meets the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA); typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but are not limited to: a relevant degree from an accredited college or university such as Bachelorโ€™s Degree (e.g., B.A.), training, coursework, and work experience relevant to the assignment.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in quality assurance testing and analysis

Knowledge/Understanding

  • Knowledge of quality assurance software testing tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development processes, including requirements and technical design analysis, development, system and user testing, problem resolution, and planning
