Job description

Class IV Wastewater Operator/Plant Manager- Full Time

Location: Florence, MS, 39073

What you will be doing:
  • Manage the operations of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices.

  • Oversee sampling and testing systems, and the functionality of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other treatment plant equipment.

  • Ensure that the wastewater quality meets or exceeds all state and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines.

  • Manage subordinate staff in their day-to-day performance.

  • Procure supplies and equipment needed to maintain plant operations.

  • Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.

Experience you will need:
  • Must be a Certified Class IV Operator.

  • Preferred candidate should have five (5) years' experience operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant with a minimum volume of 5 MGD.
