The Mortgage Case Opening Processor position is included in a workplace model that allows a combination of in-person and remote work.
As a Mortgage Loan Processor, essential responsibilities include:
  • Perform a review and/or audit on all Mortgage applications according to the standard corporate fee matrices.
  • Ensure regulatory and state specific documents have been disclosed to the applicant(s) as required by State and/or Federal guidelines, specifically the review of the Loan Estimate disclosure (LE).
  • Modify and correct LE fees according to the corporate standard fee matrices as applicable or as requires.
  • Review generated Loan Estimates and disclosure packages to ensure they are accurate and compliant prior to being sent out to borrowers.
  • Review change of circumstance request along with file documentation and dates to determine valid changes.
  • Maintains a current working knowledge of compliance regulations as they pertain to preparing mortgage loan disclosures.
  • Assist with implementation of processes to reduce errors and correct deficiencies to mitigate tolerance cures.
  • Generate application packages on all loans in a timely manner by initiating any electronic or appropriate physical documents required within the current compliance guidelines.
  • Prepare a new loan set up file ensuring a timely, complete, and accurate file for Underwriter review.
  • Review Desktop Underwriting Findings to ensure loans have all required documents before submitting to underwriting.
  • Maintain consistent level of communication with the Loan Officer regarding incomplete or incorrect loan information.
  • Apply all bank, state, and federal regulations to job functions to ensure compliance.
  • Meet or exceed department productivity and quality performance standards within department turn-time standards.
  • Adhere to the department and regulatory standards to ensure adherence to required regulatory turnaround times for Mortgage disclosures.
  • Serve as backup to the Mortgage Processors and Construction Loan Administrator.
  • Work closely with servicing department and/or loan officers, to clear up any file deficiencies.

Skills Needed
  • 2 to 3 years mortgage experience in loan documentation and delivery.
  • Experience with Federal and State compliance laws.
  • Strong ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
