Job description

Performs a wide range of activities related to the issuing of credit and maintaining lending relationships. Activities include completing of loan papers and legal documents, disbursing loan proceeds, receiving loan payments and maintenance of monitoring systems. Duties can also include greeting customers, answering telephone, typing, filing and other delegated duties under the supervision of the branch manager as required to maintain the day-to-day operations of the branch office.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Prepares and checks basic loan papers including applications, supporting papers, commitments, and closing papers. Processes loans daily, checking accounting accuracy and adherence to policy and procedures. May close loans and disburse proceeds to borrowers.
- Ensures that existing and potential member/borrowers receive prompt, courteous service, and provides general information as to policies and procedures.
- Assists in po sting and depositing incoming payments, including all necessary accounting reports and disbursement of loan funds.
- Completes routine secretarial duties such as scheduling, typing, filing, organizing, and handling association correspondence; assists in preparation of required branch office reports.
- Assists in ensuring that required collateral insurance, current financing statements, and other required time-critical items (such as association collection policy) are properly maintained.
- Other miscellaneous duties related to the overall function of the Association.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
High school education or GED equivalent with at least (2) two years of specialized secretarial training or equivalent experience. Must be able to perform most duties under moderate supervision and exercise a reasonable amount of judgment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Strong preference for experience with legal document preparation and/or monitoring of time sen sitive functions.
