The Role

Blue Owl is seeking a highly motivated Loan Operations professional to support the end-to-end loan lifecycle across private and liquid credit. This role is responsible for managing processes from origination through primary and secondary market activity, playing a critical role in maintaining operational excellence within a rapidly growing lending platform.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and can effectively manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations of cash and positions for debt and equity investments across Blue Owl BDCs, private funds, asset-backed SPVs, CLOs, and corporate revolvers

  • Prepare time-sensitive funding memos for direct fundings, borrowings, and other cash settlements

  • Proactively manage and drive settlements with counterparties and agents, ensuring timely closings via ClearPar or manual settlement processes

  • Support corporate actions and amendments through LendAmend and other applicable platforms

  • Process restructurings within WSO and coordinate with custodians to ensure alignment of accounting records

  • Coordinate assignments, participations, and private debt investments across BDCs, private funds, CLOs, and SPVs, in partnership with SPV and Accounting teams

  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding investment activity

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date investment records in WSO, particularly during month-end and quarter-end periods

  • Provide documentation support for auditors and valuation teams

  • Identify, investigate, and escalate discrepancies related to trades, paydowns, and accruals

  • Collaborate closely with offshore partners to ensure workflows are completed accurately and on time

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on loan operations

  • Strong understanding of loan lifecycle processes and investment operations

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic

  • Leverage AI as a tool to drive efficiency

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative

The base annual salary range for this New Jersey based position will be $105,000 to $110,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate's skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
