Job description

Box Truck Driver
Full-time
Employment requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License (required).
  • DOT issued medical card (RGS will assist with any recertification/renewals) (required).
  • MUST be able to lift over 50 lbs. consistently.
  • Clean driving record.
  • CDL Class A preferred, not required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Education:
  • High school or equivalent (required).

Experience:
  • 1-2 years driving a 26’ box truck (26,000 lb).
  • 1 year of direct laborer experience (loading/unloading).
Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
  • Assists in loading and unloading trucks at the shop, finisher, and job sites.
  • Uses company-provided technology/software to properly track/scan material and finished products.
  • Document required paperwork for shipping and receiving, and confirm all components (rail sections, hardware, etc.) are accounted for before leaving for deliveries or going to the finisher.
  • Interacts with Project Managers and Plant Manager when at the shop and job sites.
  • Work with employees while at the shop/job site to ensure the truck is loaded/unloaded with the right material and hardware per job.
  • It is required to adhere to all motor vehicle laws while operating RGS-owned vehicles.
  • Report any problems/issues or maintenance needed on trucks to the Manager.
  • Required to work in the shop when not driving.
