Job description

Plant Worker

The Loading Dock Worker is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks, moving materials throughout the facility, and ensuring shipments are handled accurately. This role includes inspecting incoming and outgoing freight, operating pallet jacks, building orders to manifests, maintaining a clean and organized dock area, and following all safety procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to lift heavy materials, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Reports to: Plant Supervisor

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand 8-10 hours consistently
  • Ability to work in hot and humid environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain established productivity standards
  • Inspect all linen to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Follow all health and safety standards throughout the facility
  • Maintain organization within personal and shared workspaces
  • Report equipment malfunctions, linen defects or shortages, and safety hazards appropriately
  • Maintain company-wide DART accident rate at or below 2
  • Other duties as assigned
