The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading logistics and warehousing organization and we are looking to hire an experienced and skilled Dispatch Manager for it's Chicago, IL location. In this role you will be responsible to schedule and plan either batches of trucks, both interstate and daily express vehicles, and crews, or the entire fleet and corresponding crews based on supporting dispatch employees' schedules. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Confirm scheduled delivery and collection details Assist with daily trucking route and schedule planning Verify BOLs, trip sheets, and shipping documentation for accuracy Complete and electronically file interstate manifests Plan interstate and overnight routes while ensuring DOT compliance Analyze interstate trip costs to support route profitability Coordinate with client management teams to generate additional business and maximize interstate trip profitability Handle incoming calls, record messages, and distribute communications as needed Support transport crews with operational needs when required Coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle movements with operations and warehouse teams Monitor DVIRs, coordinate repairs, and support overall fleet maintenance and readiness Review driver logbooks to ensure accurate hours and compliance Monitor vehicle cleanliness, loading dock conditions, and crew standards Support warehouse and dock operations to meet transportation requirements Additional Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company policies, HR procedures, and workplace standards Follow all health and safety policies and procedures Act in the best interests of the company, its clients, and employees What We Are Looking For Knowledge, Skills & Experience High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of art handling, logistics, warehousing, or moving experience Experience with art packing, handling, and installation Knowledge of local and interstate truck routes, DOT, FMCSA & OSHA regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational, leadership, training, team coordination and time management skills Excellent communication, multitasking, problem solving & decision-making abilities Results driver with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
