Forklift operator $ 20.00- $ 21.50
Pay Schedule: Weekly Pay + Benefits 401K
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour schedule - 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on -Enjoy every other weekend off
Shift Options: • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Duties:
• Assists with staging jobs in various work areas, banding skids, cleaning scrap.
• loading/unloading trucks, moving stock to and from loading docks and placing the items in the designated location, and distributing materials as needed.
• Transports materials from storage or other work areas to designated areas using forklift truck, manual /electric pallet jacks, electric dolly, or other related equipment.
• Loads materials into trucks and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using company provided equipment.
• Loads and unload materials onto pallets, racks, and shelves. Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations.
• Follows all company policies, security protocols & procedures, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
Skills :
:
• Push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in accordance with the required schedule shift.
• Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Proficiency in using the intranet, and management information systems (MIS).
• Comprehension skills and ability to operate forklift trucks and other related powered lift equipment.
• Possess good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting forklift equipment issues.
• Forklift certification license or ability to obtain forklift certification license.
• Effective customer service, interpersonal, detailed oriented, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing
Education:
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferably within a manufacturing or warehouse operations work environment. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to operating a forklift truck is preferred.
