Job description

Warehouse Material Handler

Duties:

  • Use appropriate material handling equipment (forklift, manual/power pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Accurately load orders onto appropriate delivery truck per load sheet specifications in a safe, but timely manner.
  • Operate material handling equipment to safely unload incoming Rand Coca-Cola trucks and place products in appropriate receiving area in the warehouse.
  • Inspect incoming products for close dates or damaged to the product.
  • Load any outbound dunnage/return loads with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Complete all return paperwork required for the loads.
  • Verify pallets are built to travel safely.
  • Adheres to all company safety rules to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Maintain equipment in good condition.
  • Fill out daily inspection sheets.
  • Assist other employees in job functions as needed to expedite the workflow.
  • Maintain a clean work area (picks up trash, sweeps, re-packs product, empty and bail plastic, etc).
  • Any training required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • Requires a valid NC Driver License
  • At least one year experience working in a warehouse distribution environment
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. repetitively
  • Ability to push/pull pallets as needed
  • Ability to obtain forklift license and operate manual/power pallet jacks
  • Maintains a professional relationship with co-workers
  • Must adhere to all safety programs
  • A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates: dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent customer service and takes initiative
  • Ability to pass the company's background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company's drug testing requirements
