Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader Operator to join our operations in Madison, WI. This role involves operating a Loader to load, unload, and sort scrap materials.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment to load and unload trucks, semi-trailers, and rail cars.
  • Sort and relocate scrap materials within the yard.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound loads for safety and compliance.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as greasing and oil changes.
  • Assist with minor crane maintenance and general labor tasks.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery or driving a semi-tractor/trailer is a plus - training will be provided.
  • Basic machine maintenance knowledge is a bonus.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs independently and 100+ lbs with assistance.
