Job description

Loader Operator

Midway Staffing is hiring Production Associates for an immediate opening in Gurnee, IL! We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with long-term potential.

Location: Gurnee, IL

Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Must be available to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hour (possible $3 increase at time of conversion)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Catch folded literature from the delivery end of the folder.
  • Inspect products for quality using an attribute checklist.
  • Replace defective pieces and maintain accurate tray counts.
  • Verify batch counts and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Load flat literature onto folder machines.
  • Perform routine quality inspections on materials before production.
  • Ensure materials meet production and quality standards.
  • Start and stop machines as needed to support production.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of glue systems and paper-related issues.
  • Support setup operators during machine changeovers and preventive maintenance.
  • Read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
  • Complete required quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Label, palletize, and weigh sample trays according to production guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and job specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Must be committed to following all quality and safety procedures.
