Job description

Capital Materials is a fast-growing leader in infrastructure and construction materials. We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator with strong mechanical aptitude to support our concrete plant operations in Boonville, Missouri. This full-time role offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth in a safety-first, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a front-end loader, supporting concrete production, and assisting with basic mechanical and maintenance needs to ensure smooth and consistent daytime operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment as required.
  • Load, transport, and manage materials to support continuous concrete production.
  • Move material from stockpiles to feeder bins with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance, including fueling, lubricating, and checking fluid levels.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Assist with general plant maintenance and special projects as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support plant operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience operating a front-end loader required.
  • Mechanical experience or strong mechanical aptitude required (equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or similar hands-on experience).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.
  • Candidates will be required to complete a skills assessment as part of the interview process.
