A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Loader is responsible for safely guiding crane operations during the removal, handling, and loading of pool shells. This position ensures loads are properly configured, secured, and inspected while maintaining compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and certification expectations.

Some of What You Will Do:

  • Guide Crane Operators using standardized hand signals and guide ropes during lifting and movement.
  • Properly load, tie down, and secure pool shells according to approved procedures.
  • Prepare pools for nesting and transportation by applying foam ribbing as required.
  • Follow established procedures for removing pool shells from molds, including correct rope handling.
  • Inspect pool shells and related components for defects, including tile alignment, chains, surface scratches, and grinding marks.
  • Apply Latham quality standards to all pools prior to loading and shipment.
  • Identify pool models, sizes, and corresponding mold locations.
  • Demonstrate awareness of basic crane operation and lifting safety principles.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through consistent PPE use and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Complete required documentation related to load configuration and inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in manufacturing, material handling, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Ability to achieve Loader certification.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk most of your shift.
