Job Title: Educational Program Evaluation Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Overview:
The Program Manager provides strategic direction for education programs, serving as the primary contact for their development, implementation, and evaluation. They contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and program design best practices, while also fostering partnerships with state and national associations, community agencies, and businesses. Additionally, they handle budgetary functions and conduct research-based analyses.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing course, clerkship, and program evaluation processes, overseeing curriculum mapping initiatives, and supporting student assessment administration.
  • Manage the evaluation process for courses, clerkships, and other program elements, including survey creation, administration, monitoring, and reporting
  • Collect, clean, and analyze evaluation data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare and distribute clear, actionable evaluation reports for faculty, course/clerkship director, committees, and leadership
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve teaching, learning, and curricular effectiveness
  • Monitor response rates, identify challenges, and implement strategies to optimize student participation in evaluation
  • Work closely with OMED, OACQI, and other relevant departments to ensure cohesion across evaluation layout and process
  • Conduct annual reviews of evaluation forms and standard operating procedure(s)
  • Support external survey processes as directed
  • Provides strategic direction and sets goals for the school's educational programs.
  • Serves as primary contact for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs/courses, outreach initiatives, and international programs.
  • Contributes to strategic planning, decision-making, policy development, and problem-solving.
  • Initiates and fosters collaborative and working relationships with state and national associations,governmental offices, community agencies, businesses, and industry to identify and develop initiatives.
  • Develops criteria for and initiates new partnerships based on strategic outreach goals; leads the process of partnership development.
  • Defines and implements best practices and standards in program/course design. Leads cross-unit teams to discover, design, develop, execute, and evaluate programs.
  • Provides research-based analysis, reports, and presentations to gain insight, buy-in, and support of key initiatives.
  • Develops and refines metrics that are aligned with the strategy.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program evaluation, survey administration, or assessment in higher education (medical education experience strongly preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency with LMS, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and use of curricular mapping systems or data visualization tools.
