Job description

The Ranch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a livestock ranch, ensuring efficient management of animals and land. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, this role demands daily on-site presence to maintain high standards of livestock care, pasture management, and equipment upkeep while promoting healthy animal nutrition and monitoring overall animal health.

Responsibilities

  • Manage livestock care and monitor animal health
  • Oversee pasture maintenance and hay production activities
  • Maintain and repair ranch equipment
  • Plan and implement feeding and nutrition programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Report regularly to Owner/CEO on ranch operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in ranch management
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Strong knowledge of livestock management
  • Experience with agricultural operations and equipment maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Effective time management abilities
