Description JBS is seeking an hourly Feed Mill Driver Team Member! Position starts at $24.70 per hour with the ability to go up DOE and $2/hour Shift Differential.Nature of Position:Successfully carry out and understand all Standard Operating Procedures under in-direct supervision.Essential Job Functions: (order of essential job functions does not indicate ranking of importance)Works under the direction of the Feed Scheduling Dispatcher. Approximately 45-55 hours per week will involve delivering feed to our company sow operations and Finishing Sites.Represent the company in a professional manner at gas stations and over the road. Works in a safe manner in all operations around the feed mill and while driving a semi-tractor. Understand the process of driving, loading, and unloading feed including flushing and sequencing. Reinforces completion of all bio-security measures at the feed mill and at animal production facilities.Promotes Safety in all operations of Feed and Grain.Makes sure that feed trucks are washed and disinfected in accordance with company procedures.Follow all company policies relative to the department.Cooperates with other employees and farm production workers and managers.Demonstrates commitment to the job and all assigned responsibilities.Must be able to understand and follow all DOT regulations, this includes filling out log reports, vehicle inspection reports, unloading sequence sheets, trip sheets and driver truck sheets. Must have a good driving record.Needs to have a good sense of direction, in order to understand written and/or spoken instructions required for delivery.Must be able to work in adverse outside conditions when temperatures may range from above 100 degrees to 0 degrees and below, for the entire workday.Must be able to drive under adverse road conditions in order to complete all deliveries.Ability to scale several types of ladders, such as bin ladders, and truck ladders.Be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.Be dependable, self-motivating, and willing to work.Must be able to pass random DOT drug and alcohol screenings and tests.Be in relatively good physical and mental condition.Able to maintain balance on all types of surfaces including slippery surfaces.Able to retain written and spoken instructions.Willing to work long flexible hours, if necessary, to meet the expectations of the job.Working Conditions:During summer months outside temperatures can be over 100 degrees for the entire workday.During winter months outside temperatures can be below zero degrees for the entire workday.During and after heavy rains facilities and roads can be extremely muddy, snow covered, icy and difficult to maneuver on.During some job duties the noise level can become very loud (earplugs are provided).Normal duties will expose the individual to odors, dusts, and gases that may be uncomfortable or hazardous, if proper procedures are not followed.May possibly be exposed to procedures that cause contact with hazardous materials.The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the followingbenefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k):company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;Better Futures Program Online Classes or select 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents!
