Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-quality homes from start to finish in the Livingston -St Tammany Parish area. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications โ€” all while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.


Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Management
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work that meets all company and customer standards.
  • Monitor construction budgets throughout each project; review and update costs.
  • Approve vendor invoices and ensure trade partner accountability.
  • Consult with architects, owners, and leadership on design changes and issue resolution.
Scheduling & Quality Assurance
  • Deliver homes on or ahead of schedule using the companyโ€™s scheduling software.
  • Conduct and document job site inspections at all phases of construction.
  • Complete customer walk-throughs within one week of completion and secure final approval.
  • Follow checklists for inspections, quality control, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that reflects company professionalism.
Customer Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners throughout the construction process.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and set clear expectations.
  • Anticipate, prevent, and resolve customer issues in a professional, proactive manner.
  • Collaborate with realtors, owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless homebuilding experience.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements within local jurisdictions.

Requirements:Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in residential or new home construction (required).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in custom or semi-custom homebuilding (preferred)
  • Must live in the build zone.
