Job description

We are seeking dependable and motivated First Mates to join our airboat tour operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with guests, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.
Schedule
  • Primary coverage needed on weekdays
  • Possible weekend hours available
  • Scheduling may be available based on availability and tour demand
Responsibilities
  • Assist the airboat captain during tours
  • Ensure guest safety and comfort
  • Help with boarding and unloading passengers
  • Provide friendly customer service and basic tour support
  • Assist with general dock and boat operations as needed
Requirements
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working around boats and water
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must meet all qualifications required to be listed in our drug consortium
  • Must be First Aid certified (certification available online if not currently certified)
  • Previous boating or tour experience is preferred
  • Must be coast guard safety certified

Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to walk on uneven, wet, or slippery surfaces
  • Able to lift and carry up to 150 pounds
  • Able to climb in and out of airboats repeatedly throughout the day
  • Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling as needed
  • Must have sufficient vision, hearing, and mobility to ensure guest safety
