This is a field remote position. Candidates must live in San Joaquin, Merced or Stanislaus Counties.
The Community Outreach Representative serves as the frontline brand ambassador for Alignment Health, generating qualified leads and building meaningful connections across assigned community territories. This role works in close partnership with licensed sales agents, marketing, and compliance teams to convert community engagement into measurable enrollment outcomes. The representative directly supports plan growth by cultivating trusted relationships with seniors, underserved populations, venue partners, and community organizations. This role is critical to the organization because grassroots outreach remains one of the highest-converting and most cost-effective channels in Medicare Advantage member acquisition and retention.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Generate and Qualify Leads Through Community Engagement
Driveconsistentlead production by executing a structured outreach calendar that includes health fairs, senior center visits, retail events, food banks, churches, and community organizations. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly lead generation targets, maintaining accurate and timely records in Salesforce to ensure pipeline visibility for the sales team.


Build and Sustain Community Venue Partnerships
Identify, cultivate, and maintain productive relationships with venue partners - including senior living facilities, libraries, faith-based organizations, and retail locations - that generate a reliable flow of prospecting opportunities. Develop repeatable partnership frameworks that produce sustained lead volume across the assigned territory.

Plan, Coordinate, and Execute Outreach Events
Lead end-to-end logistics for community and educational events, including scheduling, venue setup, materials preparation, and staffing coordination. Deliver monthly event plans on time, ensuring all events are registered, documented, and executed in alignment with CMS marketing guidelines and internal compliance standards.

Educate Prospects and Members on Plan Benefits
PresentAlignment Healthplan benefits, services, contracted providers, and eligibility in a clear, culturally competent, and compliant manner to prospective and current members. Conduct new memberorientation sessions and ongoing education events to driveplanunderstanding, satisfaction, and retention.

Support Licensed Agents in Lead Conversion and Enrollment
Coordinate closely with assigned sales agents to hand off qualified leads, support advertised and non-advertisedsales presentations, andparticipate in enrollment meetings where appropriate. Track lead-to-enrollment conversion activity in Salesforce and align outreach strategies to local market sales goals.

Maintain Compliance with CMS and Internal Marketing Standards
Distribute only approved marketing and event materials, and partner with Marketing and Compliance teams on the development of community-facing collateral. Escalate any compliance concerns related to event conduct, venue arrangements, or member communications promptly and through appropriate channels.

Track Activity, Report Results, and Optimize Performance
Maintain daily Salesforce updates, submit weekly activity summaries, and provide a monthly calendar of planned events to management. Use reporting data to identify top-performing venues and event types, continuously refining outreach strategy to improve lead quality and event ROI.

Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community outreach, grassroots marketing, field sales support, or customer engagement roles

  • Demonstrated experience generating leads through in-person, community-based events

  • Experience engaging and building trust with seniors, low-income, or underserved populations

  • Comfort operating independently in a field-based, territory-driven environment

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, managed care, or Medicare/Medicaid markets

  • Prior experience in a Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, or health plan outreach role

  • Experience working with Salesforce or equivalent CRM in afield salesor outreach capacity

Education:

Required:High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred:Associate's orBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Health, Marketing, Business, or a related field

Training:

Required:

  • CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines training (or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire)

  • Salesforce CRM onboarding training (or equivalent CRM system training)

Preferred:

  • Completion of a Medicare Advantage or managed care product knowledge certification

  • Cultural competency training for working with seniors and diverse populations

Specialized Skills:

  • Community Engagement & RelationshipManagement -Ability to develop trusted, sustained relationships with community venues, influencers, and organizations that convert to consistent lead generation activity

  • CRM / Salesforce Proficiency- Proficient use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM for daily activity logging, lead tracking, and event documentation; accuracy and timeliness are essential to pipeline management

  • Event Planning &Execution -Skilled in coordinating end-to-end event logistics, including vendor coordination, material prep, on-site facilitation, and post-event follow-up

  • Verbal Communication & Public Presentation- Strong ability to present product information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including seniors and non-English-speaking populations

  • Compliance Knowledge - CMS Medicare Marketing Rules- Working knowledge of CMS marketing and outreach guidelines for Medicare Advantage, including rules governing event types, materials, and enrollment conversations

  • Microsoft Office Suite- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, calendar management, and presentation preparation

  • Data Reporting & Activity Tracking- Ability to compile, review, and submit accurate activity reports; comfort interpreting KPI data to assess outreach performance andmake adjustments

Pay Range: $53,210.00 - $79,815.00

Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
