Description:

We are seeking experienced auto damage estimators with proven experience estimating hail-damaged vehicles specifically for Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).


This role supports high-volume CAT (catastrophe) hail operations and requires strong understanding of PDR repair methodology. This is not a conventional body shop estimating role.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect hail-damaged vehicles in field or lot environments
  • Identify and map dents eligible for Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
  • Write accurate repair estimates aligned with PDR standards
  • Distinguish PDR-repairable damage from conventional body repair
  • Document damage using estimating software and photos
  • Communicate repair intent clearly to PDR technicians and operations teams|


Required Experience

  • Experience estimating hail damage on vehicles
  • Working knowledge of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) methods and limitations
  • Ability to assess dent size, depth, location, metal stretch, and panel material
  • Experience with estimating platforms such as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell
  • Ability to work independently in high-volume, time-sensitive environments


Not a Fit If…

  • Your background is primarily conventional body or filler-based estimating
  • You do not have direct experience with hail damage estimating
  • You are unfamiliar with PDR repair standards
  • You require W-2 employment, hourly pay, or guaranteed schedules
  • You are not comfortable working CAT assignments or traveling as needed


Contractor Requirements

  • Operates as an independent contractor (1099)
  • Provides own tools, equipment, and transportation
  • Maintains required licenses and insurance (if applicable)
  • Responsible for all taxes and business expenses
