In this role, you will teach at one or more of our Bronx and Upper Manhattan campuses, including Tremont Park, Mount Eden, South Bronx, Inwood, Queens, and our new high school campus. Lessons take place during the school day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and may be scheduled across multiple campuses.

To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Part-time Violin Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree, and at least 2+ years of relevant teaching experience. If you are passionate about music, love working with motivated students, and are interested in improving educational equity in New York City, come and teach piano with us!
Responsibilities:
  • Teach weekly violin lessons to students across Zeta's network of schools
  • Provide instruction through individual and small-group lessons during the school day
  • Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student progress and at-home practice
  • Use established method books and supplement with additional repertoire and musicianship activities as appropriate
