Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS and ACLS certifications with experience caring for critically ill patients on night shift.

Details
  • 20-bed medical ICU in a hospital setting with a goal ratio of 2 patients per RN
  • Patient population includes cardiac arrest, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, stroke, post-surgical, continuous dialysis, and bedside invasive procedures
  • Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Previous nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
  • Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
  • Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
  • License verification via NURSYS may be required
