We Are Looking For
Advanced Systems Group LLC is seeking well-rounded (audio expertise highly preferred) Live Production Technicians to join our high-performing team and support a high-frequency, multi-studio streaming platform producing simultaneous live and on-demand content, where every production run serves both a live audience and a permanent content library. The ideal candidate leads with deep expertise in live audio across networked audio environments and brings a working knowledge of robotic camera systems, production comms, and studio control room operations.
This position is part of our Flex Workforce. As a Flex team member, you'll work on a project-to-project basis, supporting a variety of leading media and technology clients. Flex roles are ongoing and dynamic; work may vary in cadence, length, and scope depending on client needs. This setup offers flexibility, exposure to top-tier companies, and the chance to grow your skills across multiple exciting assignments.
Estimated schedule: Shift-based rotation including early mornings, evenings, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and public holidays as required. Between 20 and 40-hour workweeks. (Specific schedules will vary by project and client engagement.)
Responsibilities
  • Operate a sound desk and robotic multi-camera system simultaneously and general technical setup to support high-quality live and recorded production
  • Manage multi-zone studio audio, including dedicated talent zones, audience zones, and broadcast faders, simultaneously on the Yamaha QL1
  • Monitor and correct acoustic feedback in live talent environments, including stage speaker configurations in high-density studio settings
  • Coordinate IEM signal chains for on-air talent during live-to-tape productions, including fader ceiling management and pack-level coordination
  • Adapt technical approach across multiple studio environments, each presenting distinct acoustic conditions and production demands
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and uphold production quality for live and prerecorded streams
  • Support the workflow that transforms live events into on-demand assets
  • Act as the first point of escalation for production-related issues, collaborating closely with engineering and wider teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of production runs, including protocols, timings, and on-the-ground coordination
  • QC additional production content, including scenic assets, original production, and remote content
  • Contribute to an environment that values creativity, innovation, problem-solving, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Working knowledge of operating a networked audio ecosystem simultaneously within a live production environment, including digital audio consoles, audio over IP protocols, and broadcast control and routing systems
  • Strong understanding of live audio mixing as the primary technical competency, with working knowledge of robotic camera systems, vision mixers, and production comms
  • Experience in a high-frequency live streaming production environment with simultaneous live audience and broadcast output
  • RTS Comms Panels
  • DPA Microphone Systems
  • In-Ear Monitor (IEM) Signal Chain Operation
  • Clear understanding of shot framing, audio mixing, and production comms etiquette
