Job description

SUMMARY: A compliance analyst works under the Chief Compliance Officer in a supporting role. The analyst works on administrative and clerical duties, reviewing processes and programs in order to maintain compliance with laws and industry regulations, as well as assist and support the Compliance Department by performing independent reviews to test and validate compliance operations with applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in daily review, monitoring, and analysis of various laws and regulations.
  • Use Excel, website searches, to mine and organize data from various internal systems as well as, data libraries for compliance testing, data analysis, and related reporting needs.
  • Develop and perform test work and validation activities to assess control design and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and document review findings in a concise manner that clearly present the results of testing as well as, reveal material findings and recommendations.
  • Work with compliance to develop appropriate corrective actions to address material findings in testing. Ensure customer remediation is completed, when required.
  • Ensure material compliance issues identified through self-testing are recorded, tracked, and reported to ensure their appropriate and timely resolution.
  • Review and analyze operating policies and procedures to assess their effectiveness.
  • Review accounts records and business entities documents for compliance with several laws and regulations.
  • Organize ethics and compliance records, documents and files maintaining confidentiality.
  • Follow-up with staff for documentation
  • Ensure that regulatory, legal, and Bank requirements are met. You will be expected to: complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner; attend educational sessions, and training courses; attend and participated in team/department staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented, self-starter and ability to multitask
  • Good follow-up and follow through
  • Online research capabilities
  • Proficient Microsoft Office, Excel proficiency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Banking experience, compliance testing/audits or quality reviews are preferred

On July 5, 1994, County Bank opened a full service branch at 100 East Masten Circle, Milford, Delaware. Milford is located in two counties giving us a presence in Kent County as well as Sussex County.

On July 23, 1999, County Bank opened a full service branch at 36754 Old Mill Road, Millville, Delaware. This branch gives us a presence in the south-eastern part of the county.

On September 24, 1999, County Bank opened a full service branch at 13 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, Delaware giving us a presence in the center of the county.

On September 18, 2002, County Bank opened a full service branch at 1609 Savannah Road, Lewes, Delaware.

On December 9, 2004, County Bank opened a full service branch at 140 Broadkill Road, Milton, Delaware in order to give County Bank more presence in Sussex County.
