Why Join Our Team?
Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to work the night shift within the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). TCU and the Emergency Department (ED) are collaborating using a new split flow model.
The split flow model allows emergency services to continue delivering care to arriving patients while the newly admitted patient is handed off to the TCU RN. The TCU is imbedded in and adjacent to the ED.
Sign on Bonus
  • $5,000 hiring bonus with 1 year commitment with Penn Medicine Princeton Health

Scheduling Requirement:
  • Three, 7p-7a shifts a week. Weekend rotation is required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • The TCU TEAM provides high quality, continuous nursing care to patients who have been admitted but remain in the ED while awaiting an inpatient bed.
  • This role ensures safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment, bridging emergency and inpatient services.
  • May float to any med surg or rehab unit.

What We Require for this Role:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of

Related Work Experience
  • 2 years of RN experience required
  • Telemetry/Med Surg, Critical Care, ED experience preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
  • Active NJ RN license required
  • National Nursing Certification preferred
