  • Salary Range: New hires will be set at $21.787 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $21.787 to $22.181 per hour. For detailed compensation information, view the Para Salary Schedule. The salary listed reflects the 2025-2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026-2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. If any updates or adjustments are made once the new salary schedule is finalized, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.

What You'll Do:
• Codes, classifies, catalogues, receives, checks out, and shelves library materials
• Converts written material to computerized library system
• Monitors circulation of library materials and delivers and retrieves library materials
• Performs library material inventory, and reconciles discrepancies
• Explains basic use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services and provides library resource location, data search, and service assistance to students and teachers
• Assists individuals and small student groups locate library resources and materials
• Monitors students at assigned site and reinforces positive student behaviors, enforcing administration policies and rules governing students
• Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and library staff
• Coordinates the classification, indexing, shelving and circulation of books, periodicals, audio-visual and multi-media information
