Job Description
ECU Department of CIT Medical Information Office is currently seeking several Medicaid Student Workers to provide the quality team assistance with various clinical quality program duties.
The student will complete patient chart audits in the electronic health record and enter data submissions for various quality programs. The student performing these duties will be responsible for assisting the quality team in performing chart audits on specific quality measures, downloading data into portals, creating drilldown reports for clinical departments, and maintaining statistics on each program.
Additionally, we are offering an opportunity for a student to fulfill their internship requirements during the upcoming academic year. This volunteer internship would involve a commitment of approximately 12-15 hours per week during the summer-fall semesters. As with the part-time position, a longer duration with our team enhances both the student's résumé and their experience with EPIC and quality improvement initiatives.
This is an onsite position for 20 hours a week. Business hours of operations are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Students with an interest or experience in healthcare and health information are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates who are either in their junior year of undergraduate study or beginning graduate school and who are local to the area. Ideally, the selected student would remain with us for a two-year period.
