The YMCA of the North Shore is now hiring energetic and enthusiastic Camp Counselors to join our Cape Ann Summer Camps team for Summer 2026!

Where You’ll Work

Camp Spindrift – Gloucester
Set on 46 acres of stunning woodlands and waterfront marsh, Camp Spindrift offers a classic outdoor camp experience. As a counselor, you’ll help campers:

  • Learn to swim and cool off in our outdoor pool

  • Explore the Annisquam River by kayak and boat

  • Play games and sports on expansive fields

  • Participate in weekly themed activities and celebrations

It’s a summer full of adventure, laughter, and lifelong memories—for campers and staff.

Performance Camp
Our summer theatre intensive invites campers of all experience levels to build skills in acting, music, dance, and design. Working alongside theatre professionals, counselors support a four-week program that culminates in two live performances—boosting confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

Additional Camps at the Local Y
Including Sports Camp, Cheer Camp, and more—offering flexibility and variety in your summer role.

Your Role as a Camp Counselor

You will:

  • Lead engaging games, activities, and adventures

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment

  • Support camper growth, confidence, and teamwork
