Job description

Overview:

Substation Project Engineer with strong substation experience to oversee and manage the engineering scope for multiple utility substation projects. This role supports 30โ€“60 active projects at a time and requires a candidate who excels in coordination, communication, and technical problem-solving.


You will be responsible for project scoping, material procurement, resolving engineering questions, and maintaining alignment between field operations and design engineering teams. Approximately 50% of the week will be spent in the field coordinating with design engineers, project managers, and construction stakeholders.


Required Skills:

  • 5+ Years of Substation Project Engineering Experience
  • Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors)
  • Strong knowledge of substation equipment, design standards, and construction practices.
  • M365 Experience (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
  • Organizational & Time Management skills


Bonus Skills (Not Required):

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Experience leading or mentoring small engineering or project teams.
  • Masters or PhD


Required Degree:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems or Power Engineering
