Job description

FindTalent is seeking a strategic and results-driven Operations Vice President to lead operations under a Master Services Agreement (MSA) for a leading utility and infrastructure company. The role focuses on overseeing the delivery of utility projects, including transmission and distribution (T&D) systems and substations. This executive position requires strong operational leadership, financial oversight, and the ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility operations, including T&D and substation projects, with a proven track record of driving large-scale project execution and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage regional MSA operations, ensuring successful project delivery for utility clients.

  • Oversee teams of engineers, project managers, and field personnel to meet operational and performance objectives.

  • Drive operational excellence, adherence to safety protocols, and quality standards across all projects.

  • Monitor and manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure business and client goals are met.

  • Provide technical and operational guidance on T&D and substation projects, troubleshooting and mitigating risks.

  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, address challenges, and support field teams.

  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and alignment.

  • Support business growth initiatives, process improvements, and workforce development under the MSA framework.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in utility operations, including T&D and substations.

  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including budget oversight and performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel regularly for site visits and regional oversight.
