DISHWASHER
Job Summary
Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade in the heart of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, has redefined the destination entertainment experience. Following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as "one of the most incredible places on Earth," by Rolling Stone, we've stacked the deck for a truly unforgettable experience.
With three levels spanning nearly 80,000 square feet, it's one of the largest music venues in America. Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 32 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.
Perform various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as, but not limited to, dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies. Janitorial duties in various dining service areas such as dining room, kitchen and other areas associated with the culinary department. Handle all food, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with company, federal, state and local procedures and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines
  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and replace when necessary
  • Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
  • Remove garbage regularly
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Dishwasher in fine dining, hospitality, and/or casual dining restaurant
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 70 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication in English
  • Must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must have a state issued Health Card
  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various task, as needed
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules
  • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
  • Must adhere to all safety measures and policies

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Occasionally required to sit, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 150lbs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Frequently able to balance, twist, use hands and fingers and wrist motion
  • Required to have good hand/eye coordination and mental alertness
  • Ability to concentrate within numerous distractions
