Job description

ESI is seeking a System Designer is responsible for defining the architecture and design of complex systems that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. The designer will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project (product) mangers, developers, and QA teams, to ensure the system designs align with business goals and technical standards.

MUST HAVE MEDICAID EXPERIENCE & LIVE IN THE GREATER WASHINGTON DC AREA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • System Architecture:
  • Design and develop system architectures, including hardware, software, network, and data components, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. Requirements Analysis: Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into detailed system specifications and design documents.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including developers, project managers, and quality assurance, to ensure designs are implemented as intended and meet project timelines.
  • Prototyping: Creates prototypes and models to validate design concepts Gather feedback for iterative improvements.
  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation for system designs, including architectural diagrams, data flow diagrams, and design specifications. Quality Assurance: Participate in the review of code and system implementation to ensure adherence to design specifications and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support in identifying and resolving systemrelated issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in system design and development processes. Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to business and management analysts.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data management practices.
  • Strong Familiarity with the Medicaid Space.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
