Job description

Security Guard

The Security Guard's direct supervisor is the Site Coordinator. His/her responsibility is to assure the physical safety and wellbeing of all staff, teachers, students, volunteers, and visitors at the ULBGC – Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC site.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist Site Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement security of all staff, teachers, students, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Greet all participants, staff, and visitors at the front desk prior to entering the site.
  • Promote and maintain order in facility.
  • Assist Site Coordinator in general safety and supervision.
  • Maintain attendance records of staff, volunteers, students and visitors.
  • Participate in periodic meetings as required by Site Coordinator.
  • Exemplify a code of high moral character.
  • Assist Site Coordinator in opening and closing site.
  • Maintain records of all law enforcement and first responder contact information.
  • Participate in training specific to job description and duties.
  • Adhere to all physical and emotional safety guidelines as recommended by CPS, CDC, BGCA and the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs.
