They often work in residential buildings, commercial properties, or estates, providing a constant security presence. This role can include additional responsibilities such as light maintenance or assisting residents. Compensation may include free or discounted housing as part of the employment package.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a live in security guard?

The role usually provides on-site accommodation as part of your compensation, which requires you to live at or near the premises you are protecting. This arrangement offers job stability and integration into the environment, but also means you must be prepared for irregular hours and flexible responsiveness.
