Job description

Description
Work-life Balance + 59-64 visits/wk + Mentorship/Support
Position is located in Little Falls, NJ
Ready to Treat Patients Without Burning Out?
What if you could grow clinically, work with purpose, and still have a life outside the clinic?
At Total Recovery Physical Therapy (TRPT), you can do your best work with great people and still live the life you've always wanted as a DPT.
We're not a corporate mill & we're not another outpatient clinic.
We're a therapist-owned, high-performance team that blends advanced clinical systems with a championship team-style culture.
We treat with purpose, mentor with intention, and celebrate excellence without sacrificing balance.
Who We're Looking For
You're a purpose-driven Doctor of Physical Therapy who:
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Seeks mentorship and mastery, not micromanagement
  • Believes your career should support your life-not consume it
  • Values growth, ownership, and accountability
  • Wants to be part of something bigger-challenge what outpatient practice looks like and redefine what "patient-centered" really means

What We're Really Looking For
  • A Passion for People: You care deeply about your patients, not just their pain points, but their progress. You believe in delivering individualized, evidence-based care that actually changes lives.
  • A True Team Player: You love collaborating, lifting others up, and growing within a positive, supportive clinic culture. You believe great care happens when great people work together.
  • Motivated and Driven: You show up ready and committed to doing things with excellence - even when no one's watching.
  • A Humble Learner: You ask questions, accept feedback, and seek growth. You want mentorship and continuing education because you're hungry to get better, not just busier.
  • An Owner's Mindset: You take pride in your work and own your outcomes. You understand that every patient is a reflection of your standards, and you never settle for average.
  • Positive Energy is Your Superpower: You bring joy, encouragement, and fun into the clinic. You lift the vibe for your team and your patients.
  • A Strong Communicator; You know how to talk to patients, not at them. You can simplify, motivate, and empathize - all in the same sentence.
  • Growth-Minded: You're not just here for a paycheck - you're here to build something great, improve your craft, and be part of a practice that's on the rise.

If that sounds like you, we want to meet you!
Why Clinicians Choose TRPT
  • Meaningful Results: Every patient is a success story. We design treatment plans that are customized, effective, and built on trust.
  • Championship Team Culture: We row in the same direction. No egos, no gossip-just collaboration, ownership, and mutual respect.
  • Growth & Mentorship: Weekly mentorship, in-services, and coaching. You'll receive structured 1:1 development time-always on the clock, never "extra".
  • Challenge the Norms of Private Outpatient Practice
  • Treat like an expert with innovative state-of-the-art technologies that are used by elite athletes, such as the Neufit Neubie device.
  • Work-Life balance: Dedicated time to grow - We build schedules to help you breathe, not burn out.

We constantly refine our systems and care models. Your ideas matter, your voice is heard, and your input drives change.
Work That Supports Your Life
  • 36 hours of patient care per week
  • 1 hour of team meetings and training (built into your schedule)
  • 59-64 visits per week, not 80+
  • Protected growth and documentation time- up to 4 hours
  • Realistic caseloads and sustainable productivity goals
  • Required, paid PTO because rest is non-negotiable

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary with performance bonuses and a sign-on bonus
  • Student Loan Repayment up to $5,000/year
  • Up to $10,000 sign on bonus
  • 401(k) with 3% company match
  • Comprehensive insurance: medical, dental, vision
  • Up to 28 days paid time off (PTO, holidays, continuing education)
  • UNLIMITED continuing education reimbursement

Extra Perks:
  • Up to 4 hours of documentation time
  • AI documentation scribe (built-in scribe in our EMR system that writes your notes for you!)
  • Complimentary in-house acupuncture treatments by our master acupuncturist clinicians
  • Paid Jury duty and bereavement leave

What Our Team Says
"The mentorship and doc time make this the best PT job I've had. I never feel rushed, and I actually look forward to our team meetings."
"There's clear direction, growth tracks, and accountability-but also empathy. We win together."
We're Not Hiring for a Seat-We're Building a Team
If you want to grow, lead, and treat patients the right way, you'll find your home here.
Join Total Recovery PT-where therapists thrive, patients heal, and everyone wins.
Apply today and experience what real private practice feels like.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care using clinical reasoning-not cookie-cutter protocols
• Participate in weekly meetings and monthly in-services (all paid time)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teammates (PT, OT, acupuncture, chiropractic)
• Build relationships that generate referrals and raving-fan patients
• Track outcomes and KPI metrics-because mastery is measurable
• Grow within structured career tracks (Leadership, Education, Clinical Specialist, or Systems Operations)
Qualifications
Requirements
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
• Licensed or license-eligible in New Jersey
• Passion for excellence, teamwork, and lifelong learning
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ownership mindset-treat TRPT as your own career
• Desire to be mentored, challenged, and supported in equal measure
