Job description

About Pet Care Club

At Pet Care Club, we deliver premium care and total peace of mind to local pet parents. As we expand our community in Omaha, we are looking for dedicated, trustworthy animal lovers to join our team. We value autonomy, clear communication, and a true passion for animal welfare.
Unlike gig-app platforms, our team members are fully protected W2 employees. We offer a variety of services to our clients, which means you can customize your role to fit your lifestyle, availability, and home environment. Whether you want to focus on one specialty or mix and match, we build your schedule around what you do best.
Choose Your Path (Select One or More)
  • Dog Walking & Drop-Ins: Conduct neighborhood walks, manage proper leash etiquette, and provide fresh water, exercise, and companionship during the day.
  • Cat Sitting Specialists: Provide dedicated drop-in care tailored to our feline clients, including feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, and administering medication if qualified.
  • Vacation Client In-Home Care & Overnights: Support pet parents while they travel! This can include performing multiple drop-in visits daily (morning, midday, and evening) or providing overnight house-sitting care while staying in the clientโ€™s home.
  • In-Home Boarding Hosts: Welcome client dogs into your own pet-friendly home for overnight stays, treating them like family while their owners are away. (Note: Must have a secure, pet-safe residence).
You are not required to perform all of these services. We match assignments to your specific preferences, availability, and living situation.
What Youโ€™ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
  • Provide Premium Care: Ensure the safety, health, and happiness of every pet in your care.
  • Real-Time Updates: Use our team mobile app to check in, track visits, and send detailed journals with photos to clients immediately following each service.
  • Home Security: Maintain the integrity of clients' homes by carefully managing keys, locking doors, and setting alarms.
  • Safety Monitoring: Recognize and immediately report any signs of pet distress, illness, or unusual behavior.
What Weโ€™re Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Animal Background (Required): A verifiable history of working with animals is a strict must. This can include professional pet care, veterinary tech experience, animal shelter volunteering, or extensive personal pet ownership/training.
  • Reliable Transportation: A dependable, insured vehicle and a valid driverโ€™s license are required to travel to client homes (applicable for walking/sitting/vacation roles).
  • Tech Savvy: A smartphone with a reliable data plan to manage your schedule and communicate via our company app.
  • Rock-Solid Reliability: The animals and their owners depend on us. You must be punctual, detail-oriented, and highly accountable.
  • Background Check: Willingness to undergo a comprehensive criminal background check.
Perks of the Club
  • W2 Employee Peace of Mind: We handle your payroll taxes, and you are fully covered under our comprehensive corporate liability insurance, bonding, and worker's compensation.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Excellent for freelancers, remote workers, students, or anyone looking to build a flexible schedule around their lives.
  • Paid Onboarding & Training: We set you up for success with training, including pet first aid, safety protocols, and behavior basics.
  • Independence & Support: Enjoy working independently without micromanagement, backed by a responsive, supportive administrative team.
  • Unmatched Co-workers: Wagging tails, purrs, and unconditional love every day.
