As a Robot Technician at North Little Rock- Caterpillar, you will provide direct daily cell support to fabrications.
These support functions include: basic troubleshooting robotic errors, recovery from collisions, torch maintenance, assisting maintenance diagnose and recover from wire feed and power breakdowns and documentation of downtime (through OEE metrics). Robotic program training will be provided for Fanuc, ABB & Cloos systems.
This is a 2nd shift position, hours 3pm-11pm. Winning applicant will remain on 1st shift until training is complete and/or business warrants 2nd shift support.
What you will have:
• Must have a basic understanding of welding processes
• Ability to learn Welding Symbols, Weld Measurements & understand engineering prints
• Ability to Learn, Understand & Apply Basic Robot Programming Skills
• Must have basic experience in Excel, Access, Microsoft Word, and Power Point
• Must be able to work alternate shifts and/or overtime if business dictates the need
Top candidates will also have:
• Must be able to manage responsibilities without direct supervision.
• Strong Organizational and Communication Skills
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Operate Robotic Welding Equipment - ABB, Cloos & Fanuc
• Provide Robotic Support to Operations team
• Assist in the maintenance of the Robotic system
• Support the programmers with process updates
• Support Operations through special projects
• Troubleshooting Robot Cell issues
All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to Caterpillar:

  • Post-Offer Medical Questionnaire (clearance from Corporate Medical)
