Shifts available:
  • PRN - All shifts available
Starting Pay $35-$37/hour
Shift Differential +$2 for Day Shift, +$4 for Night Shift
Requirements:
  • Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Current and active Louisiana Respiratory Therapy license
  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts
  • Patient care oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude
Duties:
  • Provide general respiratory therapeutic services to patients including oxygen, medical gas, and humidification and suction therapies.
  • Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers
  • Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy
  • Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements
  • Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed
