What You'll Do
- Provide advanced respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support, and diagnostic testing
- Monitor and wean patients from oxygen and ventilators
- Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and EKGs
- Assist with artificial airway management and other respiratory procedures
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of all clinical activities
- Comply with hospital policies and safety standards
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license for Louisiana
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Proven experience in respiratory care (neonatal to geriatric)
- Proficiency with Windows applications and data entry
Preferred:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience working in a hospital setting
