This full-time position focuses on delivering exceptional physical therapy services to our residents, enhancing their mobility, alleviating pain, and significantly improving their overall quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with older adults and a dedication to helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

About the Organization

Bristol Assisted Living Center is a leading rehabilitation facility known for providing outstanding care within a warm and supportive environment. Located in beautiful Bend, Oregon, our center specializes in assisting seniors with diverse physical therapy needs. We pride ourselves on fostering a community-like atmosphere where residents feel valued and empowered on their journey to recovery. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely to ensure each resident receives optimal care tailored to their individual circumstances.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, where you will have access to advanced equipment and therapeutic modalities. Our facility is designed to create a safe and engaging atmosphere for both residents and staff, ensuring a productive working environment while focusing on rehabilitation goals. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to promote cohesive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of residentsโ€™ physical conditions through specialized assessments that inform individualized treatment plans.
  • Create and implement tailored therapy programs addressing residents' specific limitations, incorporating targeted exercise regimens and modalities.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy sessions, ranging from strength training to balance exercises, designed to restore mobility and functionality.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to each resident's rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and self-care strategies aimed at sustaining progress outside the clinical setting.
  • Manage a typical caseload of approximately 7 patients per day, ensuring that each receives attentive and personalized care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with elderly residents in an assisted living environment, many of whom may be recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or experiencing general decline in mobility due to aging. This role requires an empathetic approach to building rapport and trust with residents, allowing us to tailor interventions to their emotional and physical needs.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Oregon.
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities utilized in rehabilitation settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an assisted living facility or similar healthcare environment.
  • Experience with geriatric patient populations is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with the latest physical therapy practices and technologies.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our extensive benefits package includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; short and long-term disability coverage; and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

We also support professional development through paid continuing education opportunities, ensuring you stay current with advancements in the field while enhancing your skills and knowledge.
