Position Summary:

As a Recruiter, you will play a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the organization\'s staffing needs. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies to identify and engage qualified candidates. This role involves utilizing various sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, networking, and direct sourcing, to build a robust candidate pipeline.

*We are adding one remote recruiter position in our Southeast Region. Qualified candidates must live in the Southeast region. The position is remote but may require occasional travel to support assigned regional office location special events such as Hiring Events.

Southeast Region: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and establish interviewing schedules with hiring managers.
  • Generate, administer, and manage employment offer process and negotiations.
  • Administer job requisition process to include assisting with job descriptions and compensation.
  • Administers pre-employment and post offer process to include background checks, drug screening, condition of employment sign offs, etc.
  • Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and complying with all state and federal laws as they relate to the recruitment, hiring and employment practices.
  • Conducts research, evaluates, and implements best recruitment practices.
  • Administer and coordinates employment agency, search firms and headhunter relationships to include negotiation of contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinates hiring managers staffing needs.
  • Actively cultivates and maintains strong partnering relationships with multi-site, multi-state locations.
  • Administer employee referral program.
  • Provide employee database and employee file management as they relate to recruitment.
  • Establish and maintain all networking, social media, job board sites, Industry Association relationships, etc. in the pursuit of building a solid sourcing program.
  • Coordinate new employee and benefit orientation programs with required Human Resources staff.
  • Coordinate the administration of MEI’s website as it relates to recruitment with marketing contractor.
  • Provide support for company sponsored employee events, such as operating budget, recruitment fairs and/or trade shows.
  • Will create and implement training programs to develop Hiring Managers development of best interviewing, screening, and selection practices.
  • Develop and administer ongoing recruitment logs and matrices.
  • The Recruiter is also an active member of the Human Resources team in supporting, defining, creating, establishing, and promoting all main functions associated with Human Resources to include recruitment and hiring, new employee assistance with benefits and benefit programs, employee data base administration and employee relations and development.
  • Perform regular and predictable work remotely and perform work during scheduled or agreed upon times.
  • Complete other responsibilities and tasks as needed within the Human Resources team.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in Human Resources at corporate full-cycle recruiter level, and in-depth knowledge of appropriate HR laws, policies, and practices.
  • Works on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Must confidentially demonstrate conduct that reflects MEI’s Mission and Values as well as appropriate levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written, verbal and presentation), facilitation, project management and integration skills.
  • Excellent candidate sourcing skills and establishing sourcing resources for passive and active career seekers.
  • Demonstrated abilities working as a remote professional, in a multi-site, multi-state organization.
  • Demonstrated abilities comfortably and effectively support other areas of Human Resources as needed.
  • Possess positive and professional demeanor in support of candidates, company human resources and MEI culture.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and HRMS software.
  • Ability to travel as needed to other facility sites.
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position is a full-time (40 hours / week) remote or hybrid position and most work will be performed in a home office setting. The Recruiter will frequently use a computer, keyboard / mouse, cellular or office telephone, and regular business office equipment with extended periods working in a seated position. Occasional standing or walking; lifting up to ten pounds may be necessary on occasion.
