Description

EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking an Electrician to join the team. 

EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers that focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters and structural steel detailers. 

Headquartered in Newport, Kentucky and have been servicing local, regional, and international clients since 1978. EGC is committed to the safety and continuous improvement of our safety systems. We have received national safety awards as a result of our performance.  EGC is proud to be part of the Messer family of companies, and we are committed to building what matters most for our customers and transforming the communities in which we live. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Read and interpret single line diagrams, elementary drawings and P&ID’s 
  • Installation of raceways: Cable tray, Wire way and Rigid conduit 
  • Instrumentation and Control wiring and/or tubing. 
  • C1D1 and intrinsically safe wiring methods. 
  • Perform planned maintenance, inspection, and installation on process and production equipment. 
  • Follow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards and protect self and others. 

What You Will Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills. 
  • OSHA 10 Certified 
  • Willing to travel
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions. 

EGC is a merit shop contractor supporting a Team working environment. All Team members will be required from time to time to perform other duties they are qualified to perform, outside of this job description and their normal work function.
