Flying A Canine Ranch is an all breed dog and cat boarding, grooming, and daycare facility. We are growing quickly and are looking for good hard workers. This job is full time, 35 to 40 hours a week. It is a fast-paced environment and requires workers to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. We perform heavy cleaning, care for all sizes and breeds of dogs, and work weekends/holidays. 

​Kennel Assistant’s job includes but not limited to the following:

·      Taking care of the parking lot and surrounding grass area

·      Cleaning lobby (including but not limited to cleaning windows, sweeping/washing floor, coffee table, & making coffee/restocking table)

·      Taking guests and grooming customers and belongings

·      Caring for our guest’s needs (feeding, letting out to potty, and etc.)

·      Cleaning up messes (vomit, diarrhea, anal glands, and etc.)

·      Daily physical cleaning (we have daily, progressive, extra, and monthly cleaning lists)

·      Being on your feet the duration of the shift

·      Lifting up to 70 pounds

·      Filling out forms

·      Using our computer program

·      Talking to our customers on the phone

·      Giving tours of our facility to customers

·      Learning dog behavior

·      Packing guests to go home and bringing them to owners

·      Driving guests who need veterinary care to the veterinarian

·      Giving attention to and playing with guests

·      Taking photos of guests

·      Working with guests of all temperaments

·      Raking yards

·      Maintenance work (including but not limited to painting, weeding, and other care of the building)

·      Bathing, brushing, and nail trims for our guests

·      Working with cleansers

·      Working in an environment with peanut butter, fish, and etc

·      Working with cats, cat litter, small pocket pets (including but not limited to rats, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and hedgehogs), hay, small animal bedding, and etc.


We are looking for workers with a strong work history, willingness to learn, work at a fast pace, flexible schedule, and good interpersonal and communication skills. You do not need extensive dog experience to apply. We are looking for individuals who love animals and have a willingness to learn. Because we work with live animals that need care, you must be able to work weekends and holidays. We offer starting pay of $16 an hour with opportunities for advancement.
