Job description

The Mary Campbell Center is first, last, and always, home to 68 residents. Together, staff ensures services are delivered with a high degree of quality, in a homelike environment where residents live with respect, personal dignity, and independence to the fullness of their abilities. The Maintenance Mechanic assists the Director of Facilities in performing repairs and maintenance to the building, grounds and vehicle operations of the Center. The Maintenance Mechanic must work reliably, effectively, efficiently, and with respect for residents, staff, families, volunteers, professional consultants, and the physical environment of the Center.Join a team where your skills make a difference every day.  As a maintenance mechanic, you'll help keep a busy healthcare facility operating safely and efficiently.  From troubleshooting building systems to completing preventive maintenance, you'll tackle a variety of technical challenges while working alongside a supportive team in a stable, mission driven environment.    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The Maintenance Mechanic at the Mary Campbell Center must: 1) be a good person of high character who consistently works with a positive attitude and demonstrates compassion and understanding for residents with varying degrees of disability; 2) have the ability to read, write and follow verbal instructions; 3) possess a excellent mechanical aptitude and skill in the use of tools required to compete task; 4) demonstrate the ability to perform basic maintenance repairs for vehicles, lawn, garden and snow removal equipment; 5) have the ability to lift, push, pull equipment and supplies of varying weights up to 50 lbs; 6) Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance or a related trade 7) possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Performs routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, completing assigned monthly audits, general repairs and preventive maintenance to the building/groundsPerforms basic repairs to electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems throughout the buildingCompletes maintenance work ordersRequired to become Guldmann certified to work on ceiling lifts (certification will be provided by the facility)Ability to performs maintenance and repair on all wheelchairsAbility to perform general maintenance on vehicles and grounds equipmentAssists with grounds keeping and snow removal when necessaryParticipates in the Maintenance-On-Call rotationAssists with transportation of residents when necessaryAssures OSHA standards are maintained while performing all dutiesPerforms other assigned duties as necessary#admin
