POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The President will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring that Helix continues to thrive in competitive real estate development and construction markets. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the industry, strong financial acumen, and the ability to manage a diverse team of professionals. The President will be responsible for setting the company's vision, leading its execution, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, and partners. Additionally, the President will maintain close communication with the company's owner/founder and the advisory board to align on strategic goals and ensure business sustainability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement Helix’s overall strategy, ensuring alignment with market opportunities and long-term objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Financial Management: Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the achievement of financial goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth, including partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with investors, clients, government agencies, and other external partners to enhance Helix’s reputation and business opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, manage risk across projects, and uphold safety and sustainability standards.

Owner/Founder Communication:

  • Regular Updates: Provide clear, timely, and comprehensive updates to the owner/founder on all significant business matters, including operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives.
  • Vision Alignment: Work closely with the owner/founder to align on the long-term vision of Helix, incorporating their guidance and vision into strategic planning.
  • Collaborative Decision Making: Engage in collaborative decision-making with the owner/founder on major company initiatives, including potential expansions, investments, or changes in company direction.

Advisory Board Communication (Leaderboard):

  • Board Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on company performance, strategy, and key initiatives to the advisory board.
  • Strategic Input: Actively seek advice and input from the advisory board on critical business decisions, leveraging their expertise to enhance company performance.
  • Board Meeting Facilitation: Lead the preparation for and facilitate productive board meetings, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated, and discussions remain focused on strategic issues. 
Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a key executive or senior leader within the real estate development and construction industry.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with a track record of driving growth and profitability.

EDUCATION:
