Job Overview


PB PoolDoc is seeking a dependable, engaging, motivated Pool Area Manager with prior pool maintenance experience. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction, retention, and growth.


You’ll build strong relationships, proactively address customer needs, and collaborate closely with technicians and leadership to deliver exceptional service. This position requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, leadership ability, and a strong customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver training for new and existing technicians, including maintenance procedures, water analysis & balance, safety and equipment use

  • Provide on-site coaching and mentorship to support technician growth and consistent service quality

  • Keep the team updated on new industry products, tools, and techniques

  • Perform routine and random quality checks, including site inspections, water chemistry testing, and equipment audits

  • Handle customer complaints and follow up to ensure issues are resolved and clients are satisfied

  • Work with customers and technicians to mediate a strong relationship

  • Perform 30-day start-ups for new plaster or pools

  • Teach new pool owners how their system works, basic maintenance needs, and warranty details

  • Performs related duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience


  • Strong experience in pool maintenance, service, and repair

  • Solid knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration, equipment, and troubleshooting

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Ability to train, mentor, and support technicians

  • Strong organizational skills and ownership of customer needs

  • Problem-solving mindset; reliable and able to work independently

  • Accurate with documentation and record keeping

  • CPO certification is a plus, not required
