Summary:
Do you enjoy helping others make positive changes in their lives? As a Quitline Coach, you'll play an important role in supporting individuals who are ready to stop smoking and improve their health.
In this position, you'll be one of the first points of contact for people reaching out to the New York State Smokers' Quitline. Through compassionate conversations, education, and encouragement, you'll help callers navigate their quit journey while connecting them with the resources and support they need.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about public health, enjoys meaningful one-on-one interactions, and wants to make a difference every day.
What You'll Do:
- Respond to smoking cessation inquiries from individuals across New York State
- Provide peer coaching, guidance, and encouragement to support callers in reaching their tobacco-free goals
- Share information and connect individuals with available smoking cessation resources and services
- Document interactions and maintain accurate records to support program tracking and reporting
- Monitor and follow established program standards and quality measures
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Quitline services, processes, and current protocols
- Support the day-to-day operations of the New York State Smokers' Quitline program
- Follow organizational policies and procedures while delivering exceptional customer service

Salary Range: $44,838 - $57,232 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare.

1. Must be a current non-smoker.
2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
